Just a heads up for those who've tried SW:TOR. In November they're going to go through inactive characters and flag the names for rename, meaning they are available for people to take. If you tried the game and were attached to your character, you might want to log in again, they won't rename it if you've logged in recently. It's free to play, so if you subscribed for a while and let it drop, you can still log in and save your character's name.
Some characters already were forcibly renamed when the servers were consolidated.
