Well I'm starting to do something silly. I'm putting some of my thoughts to paper and will be writting out a little ameturish story some time soon that will be posted here for anyone to see :) -- Also any corrections on Lore or re-wording will be considered & integrated.
Synopsis:
What would you do if your video game character(s) came to life? This is the story that follows a casual player within a guild he calls home that will rock the destiny of both worlds starting on the night of the launch of the 10th expansion pack of the most sucsesful MMO to date. Would you heed the call and join your persona in the attempt to save the world, or would you fall at the hands of your online persona and become part of that which is trying to destroy the world.
Alrighty ladies and gents, it's come time for me to start looking for some slaves *ahem* volunteers :)

I have a very large portion of the primary story arc planned out however I am welcoming and entertaining any minor/sub plot ideas as well. All chapters will be published here and never published for monitary gain unless blizzard wants to steal it & then all parties involved will be contacted & obtained permission from.
Also anyone who wants to be in the story give me a shout & send me a character sheet so to say and I'll do my best to work in any/all guildies who want in the story.

Note: I placed it as "Original Class" as I'm writing it up as in the 10th expansion the lines of professions and jobs are getting blured due to a very serious bug.
The biggest thing I will anounce -- I have aweful naming sense so that'd likely be a big factor too lol

Wish I could lore-check, but have never found Warcraft lore to be accessible enough given I never played the solo games AND Blizz isn't particularly consistent.
Pooter will be MORE than happy to lore check for you. Message me if you can't get ahold of him...but he "lives" wow...quite literally! Heck...he got married in game and that girl is now coming to visit him next week! =) Anyway...Pooter said he'd be happy to help with lore checking.

I think the big thing I'm thinking about is what's the current Prince's name & would he likely be sitting upon the throne in Stormwind in 10 years "Our time", also what all is known about the Titans and how much wiggle room do I have there. :)
The current prince of Stormwind is Anduin. Given his father has barely a trace of grey in his hair, has the physique & stamina of a gladiator, and has actually learned to temper his temper (judging by the Panderia storyline), if the Horde doesn't assassinate Varian, it is not likely that Anduin will be King of Stormwind in 10 years.
However, heart trouble, for instance, is a sneaky thing. So you could have King Varian die of a massive heart attack in his sleep 10 years from now - a wise and beloved king - and, voila!, "Long live King Anduin". Plus the prince has had time to learn much from his father (as well as swaying his father away from the elder's hasty prejudices into the sobriquet "wise and beloved") without growing too embittered about being kept waiting to do what he's been trained to do.
There is a bit of a problem with that in that I haven't noticed too many human princesses running around the Warquest storylines. Given how old the prince looks in the latest trailers AND given your "10 year from now" stipulation, the king's counselors will soon be scrambling to find a suitable young lady with whom the prince can do his royal duty to Stormwind: provide an heir. If he's king, that's even more paramount.
I played the solo games from the time of their first inception. I loved them! However, I never got into the lore enough to be of any use to anyone seeking advice or input along those lines. I am impressed with anyone who takes the time to research, read and delve into the lore. It kind of reminds me of those who go hog wild over the lore surrounding the whole Tolkien series of stories. My god! That man had more lore coming out of his ears and everywhere else than any one person could handle!
I did get a chance to peruse some of the docs you have up on the Google Drive, Pyro. It looks like you've got a good premise going there, and I think it's got lots of potential. It's got a long ways to go, too; but I'm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out. :)

-- As you may have seen I have a story line laid out, however I want to work more on my writing style before I publish anything as the first few chapters feel more like storyboards/scripts than webnovels in my opinion.
At some point I may even bribe some guild artists for character designs :)
Greynite I hear ya, some stuff I can take in the lore easily like Doctor Who & Star Trek, however when it comes to Warcraft unfortunately I'm not thinking my saturation level of lore is deep enough to keep certain readers happy.
I'll probably be rewriting the first few chapters soon along the writing styles of Douglas Adams & a few web novels I've been immersed in lately such as Rise of the Shield Hero & The Golden Wordmaster with hints of The New Gate mixed in.
